Once in a Lifetime Shots

OK, here's a couple once-in-a-lifetime shots for you. We went up to Bear Lake over the weekend with Cindy's family. As some of you are aware, her folks bought into a timeshare cabin on the golf course at Sweetwater, and we go 3-4 times a year for a couple days. Our turn happened to be over New Years Eve, so we checked out a couple snowmobiles from their Toyshare account (also courtesy the Phillips...) and went up Monday morning to Tuesday night before starting the new job yesterday.
Anyway, this drive proved especially wildlife-heavy - we passed a huge herd of about 100+ elk outside of Evanston and a big herd of antelope closer to Woodruff. We've been to Yellowstone enough times though that no one deemed either group worthy of stopping for a picture.
Then, as we passed Rendezvous Beach on the south end of Bear Lake, we came across this little tidbit, and I had to turn around and go back for a few shots. This beauty just sat there on his (her? - I wasn't close enough to tell...) rock, pretty as could be. Then to try and incite some action, Phil honked the horn, and he left his perch and showed off his feathers for us. I am about 99% certain this is the only time in my life I've seen a bald eagle in the wild, so I was pretty stoked. Thank goodness for zoom lenses!!
Hope all's well with everyone. Enjoy!
